The south has finally gotten some much-needed rain! Hopefully the fires devouring Tennessee and North Carolina and North Georgia have been extinguished. I think I’ll launch a bonfire in my back yard to celebrate.
I mentioned that the election for president would be over and the world will have ended. I guess for some it has, just depends on who you ask.
I personally hope Trump does a good job. He’s got an uphill battle, considering he’s obligated to busy himself tweeting utter idiocy at a torrential rate.
SOS had an awesome show at the Swamp in Hartwell. If you came, thank ya! (and trust me, if you were there, you came.)
Moving right along!
NaNoWriMo is over!
“Did you write fifty thousand words?” you ask.
Let me tell ya how I did. Drum roll….
Ten thousand words.
Not quite 50k, or half of it, or a third of it, or a fourth of it.
Oh well. It was an ambitious goal and I changed almost no writing habits to achieve it. (Actually I wrote less than usual.) I won’t make excuses. But I do know that if my Christmas / New Year break is as productive as my Thanksgiving break wasn’t, I won’t finish this draft before 2017.
I want Final Fantasy XV. I haven’t gotten into a Final Fantasy since IX, and I liked it but not as much as I loved FFVI and FFVII.
Yoko Shimomura produced the score for XV and she’s one of my favorite composers. (See Legend of Mana, Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story, Kingdom Hearts 2)
Boyo is infatuated with the FFXV demo on the PS4. Perhaps this will be a game that ignites in him a passion for fantastic monsters and magic, the way Castlevania, Final Fantasy, Dragon Warrior, etc. did for me. Twould be cool if it were local multiplayer.
Meanwhile, Firstborne and I still chisel away at Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth, collecting achievements and unlockables at a slow rate. That game has become one of my favorites of all time, if you count hours played and replayability.
It will be 2017.
I’ll be writing Turesia.
See you then
